It's hard to believe, but, October 16th was my one year blogiversary! I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd still be blogging, but, even more so, that there are folks out there who actually read my blog!
I have met so many wonderful people out here in blog world and have likewise enjoyed reading everyone elses exploits in life!
So, I've decided to celebrate my blogiversary with a give-a-way on the topic of one of my favorite things - gardening! Since I will be taking on a new adventure this year in gardening - that is, winter gardening, of which I know nothing about, I turned to seek guidance from a writer who is one of my "gardening guru's" and settled in on this book.
I will give away a copy of Elliot Coleman's "The Winter Harvest Handbook" as the blogiversary celebration. All you need to do is become a follower if you aren't already and leave a comment on this post. If you feel like it, I'd be curious to know what you like the best about my blog. This is totally optional. I'm just curious why you read it! Personally, I find myself a bit weird, but then, maybe that's why you read it! haha
I'll put all the names in a hat next Sunday to draw the lucky winner. I also want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have come to visit and endure my weird sense of humor! It's been one hell of a ride and my broom isn't worn out yet - so, this must mean I'll keep on keeping on with the blog.
Thanks again, everyone, and good luck!!
I won your last draw, so I think I should take myself out of the running for this one. But I wanted to wish you happy blogiversary and tell you how much I enjoy visiting you here! It's hard to pick what I like best, but I think it has to be your irreverent and cheeky sense of humour. May you have many more blogiversaries to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteI found you from one of the other blogs I read. I think I liked your comments or something and so I looked at your blog and you've been stuck with me ever since. ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your winter garden. I'm trying a little bit this year, too. Just some broccoli, brussels sprouts and peas. We'll see what happens. :)
Happy blog anniversary! The 16th was my 4 month blog-a-versary. I'm having a "Barn Party" at my blog. Please drop by and join in the fun!I can't believe you're giving away Winter Harvest. I just told my hubby that I want to order it!I can't wait to read your blog further. I think we have loads of things in common. Music, painting, and Guiness, to start with!
ReplyDeleteI follow now. Please enter me in the drawing. The avatar pix on your "follow" shows our draft horses, Ricky and Rocky.
Have a great week!

Hello Toni!! Happy Blogiversary!! I quietly passed my 1 year milestone as well. I didn't mention it because there was just too much going on...But I don't know when I came to your blog, or how I even found it--I just know that I did and have enjoyed visiting for several months now and enjoy reading about your garden and your love of music and animals too.
ReplyDeleteThat's an easy one. I read your blog because it always makes me feel good. You are entertaining without preaching, the posts are interesting and I love the variety of subjects in them. It's like a hot cup of coffee on a chilly morning...just right.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!
Hi Toni-
ReplyDeleteI read your blog because I enjoy you showing us all around your place, and because I enjoy your sense of humor. It's also nice to make friends from far away, even if you can't go get a beer with them.
In honor of your blogiversary, I'll have one of Steve's stouts tonight instead of a glass of wine!
hi Toni-- I liked the name of your blog and I liked that you write about all things irish-- I happen to love all things irish.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I already have the book-- so I don't need it. But I want to hear about your winter gardening experiences!

As Winter is the time of year we grow our vegies here (Summer is too hot !)I think your Winter gardening book would be wasted on me so I'll pass on the give away thanks.
Cheers
