Peaceful Fridays.....

Summer dreaming on a cold winter day.

Flowers and vines, trees and bushes,
Meadow grasses blowing in the breeze,
Growing corn and picking beans,
Pulling weeds down on your knees...
Cool, dark stout and a sweaty brow,
Tired muscles and achy bits,
Hot, humid air and parched grass,
Long summer nights gazing at the stars.

This is what I'm dreaming of on a cold winters day.

What are you dreaming of today???

Have a peaceful, dreamy weekend, y'all.....

  1. I'm not sure why, but I dream of snowy days when it's dreadfully hot and warm days when it's really cold and dark out. Perhaps I just can't be happy with what I have- you know- the grass is always greener...

Lately, I'm dreaming of decorating my house. We're renovating and I actually get to pick out some things. This has been 20 years in the making. Yeah!

  2. I feel like I should be dreaming of world peace and an end to climate change, but right now I'm with Patrice: home renovations, specifically our main bathroom. I'm dreaming of having my first bath in over 2 years. Hey, I'm not stinky - I've had showers! But oh, how I miss having a long, hot soak!

  3. We are up to our shoulders in snow right now, so I dream of spring...
Lovely photo, Toni, your garden looks so pretty!

Hope you have a great weekend :)

  4. While everyone else has cold photos of snow on their blogs, you've got just what we're all waiting for, warmer weather!

I'm dreaming about next year's garden and future plans for renovating our kitchen. :)

  5. Well now that all the Holiday celebrating is over and Winter has settled in... Spring of course, the garden and the return of the chirping birds.
    Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

  6. I'm dreaming of a white morning. I would love to wake up to a couple of inches of snow on the ground. I don't think it will happen. When I checked about an hour ago, it was just sleeting and not that much.
