Here's one of the green heron babes, sitting up high taking in a view of his or her world. Well, my backyard, at least. I love it's downy little head!
It was just sitting quietly in the pine bough watching the dogs and I. It has two siblings hiding deeper in the pine tree. Three babes, all told.
The last two shots were taken with the zoom lens whereas this one will give you a little more perspective for their size.
How lucky are we to have these wee ones starting to learn what the world is all about right in our backyard!
