As I had posted a few months ago, the hubsters and I left our beloved Narnia and are now residing in a small historic village in rural Carroll County.
I cannot even begin to explain how hard this move was for me even though I wanted, no, needed to do this.
After settlement I found myself crying hysterically on the way to the settlement of our new home, which I might add, I was quite excited about!  Just goes to show you never know how attached you are to something until it's gone!
So now a new chapter has begun, and I have embraced it with open arms and an open mind.  The minute I walked in the door I knew I was home.  This house wrapped its 200+ year old memories around me and welcomed me to become a part of it.
Instead of almost 4 acres we are down to 1/2 acre.  We still have gardens, a coop, and folk music.  We have neighbors and now we have pajama's because we have neighbors! haha!
I got sick the week before the move, during the move, and was still sick the week after the move.  I just started feeling well again when lo' and behold, I got sick again.  A week and a half ago I had surgery and I am now just starting to feel human again.  Needless to say, besides being an emotional move, it was physically a hard move to!  Bah, humbug!
So, we didn't have any furniture for four days and time on our hands so the hubsters and I couldn't think of a better way to start life in this new/old house than, you guessed it, a jam.
We told everyone to bring a chair, that the beer would be cold and some munchies on hand, and lets ring in this new house.

Wow, what a night!  What a way to start our new life!
New life, old friends.  Love, warmth, friendship.
I hope y'all come along for the ride and watch us turn this new/old house into the beauty she once was.  You'll see transformations inside and out and I see chickens not too far off in the future.
I sure do need me some chicken t.v.  It's been way too long!
