Find an old quilt that's faded from love, washing, and gently drying in the breeze with smells of summer.
Throw it on the grass as dusk falls and the sky is starting to turn an azure blue.
Listen to the sounds of the outdoors as you lie there waiting for the sky to turn night time black. Maybe a lightening bug will be the first to light in the deep, black sky. Watch it as it rises toward heaven.
As your gaze starts to turn upward, look at nature's own light show twinkling in the sky.
If you hold your breath, maybe one will shoot across the sky.
Have a peaceful, star-filled weekend, y'all.....
One thing I definitely miss about living on the east coast is the lightening bugs. Them, and cardinals.
ReplyDeleteI'm building a coop this weekend, but it's going to be sunny! Woo hoo!
Have a great weekend Toni.
Lovely! We're gonna have a clear weekend, so I might need to go out and do some stargazing. I've never seen a lightning bug. :( They sound pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Toni. I hope you all have a blessed weekend, too! ♥
