It was so quiet here this morning with the rain that I think everything was enjoying it and letting it soak in! I hope you've had a good weekend and are enjoying the respite from the humidity--It was 80 here this evening, and I felt like I needed a sweater! :-)
Rain after no rain is the loveliest thing. And even better in the quiet early morning. We have a skylight, too, and when it rains the sound reminds me of rain on a tent and makes me nostalgic for my camping days. (But not actually nostalgic enough to be willing to sleep on the ground again...) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
The rain lasted about an hour, and although I would have like to have seen a entire day of a nice, light drizzle, I'll take what's been offered! We even had a day of 80 degree weather which like Kim commented, almost felt cold!
Miriam - I, too was a camper and I can totally relate to how the sound of the rain makes one think of days in the woods with rain on the tent! But, I, like you am not nostalgic enough to get back on the ground! haha
